Roses are red, violets are blue

Children create with clay, paper and glue!

Miniature roses moulded from clay

Petal by petal for Valentine’s day

Hearts shaped and glued with precision and care

From paper and tissue and plenty of flair

Sculptures emerge multi-coloured and bright

Made with much joy and heart-felt delight

Creativity blossomed and ended too soon
